Hi, I'm Alexis Hamey!
I'm that little lady with big personality behind the lens at Alexis Hamey Photography in Bakersfield, California. I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Vito, and mama to our tiny and mighty, Tegan Lee. Back in 2010, what started as a "photo of the day" challenge turned into 365 consecutive days of shooting creative self-portraits with a Canon Powershot and tripod that blossomed into a lifetime love for photography. I've continued that path slowly over the years all while going to California State University, Bakersfield, earning a bachelor's and Master's degree in education, having my dream wedding in Big Sur, teaching elementary school for five years, and best of all, becoming a mama. Something in me couldn't continue to work for anyone but myself after gaining the perspective of parenthood, I had to follow that burning passion and set that example for my family. I've jumped in with both feet by building Alexis Hamey Photography as a full-time business! Hiring me means supporting my dream and those sweet faces you see below.
